Step-by-Step Guide For Replacing Your Sliding Patio Door:

Step 1: Take the Measurement

Before you remove the old door, measure the opening’s width and height. Measure in three places every time (top, middle, bottom for width; left, center, right for height) and take the smallest measurement. This way, your new door will fit.

Step 2: Remove the existing door panels.

Use outside-grade caulk to fill in around the outside edge of the door frame. This will keep air and water out of your home.

Smooth the caulk with a caulking tool or your finger to give it a clean appearance. Allow it to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
